Survival Guide

Earning Money
Earning money is an essential part to surviving in the
mean streets of Los Santos, you need money to do
anything in this town. There are many ways to earn
money in these mean streets. Some of these are
selling drugs, and selling vehicles. Usually the best way
is drugs, you get some very good profit off of that.

Affiliation
Once you get in these streets, it is advised you get yourself
involved with some of the street gangs around the city. These
gangs include the Ballas, the Families, and the Mexican gangs.
Getting affiliated with a gang is a good way to get protection
and respect, as well as money. However, it is very dangerous.

Helpful Tips
Stay away from rival gang hoods or simple gang hoods if you are
not involved in a gang, unless you're looking for trouble that is.
Always carry a weapon with you, someone can kill you in half a
second, all because you didn't have a weapon with you at all.
Always hang around with your homies, don't want to be caught
slippin' when you're by yourself, being alone is disaster here in LS.
Save money, don't spend it constantly, it'll only lead to a situation
in which you have to buy something or you're being robbed, and you
don't have the funds to pay the shop, or pay the robbers, life and death.

Trust and Betrayal
This is probably one of the most important parts in this whole lecture.
You have to know who you are talking or associating with. If you don't
know this person or what they are capable of, you will be stabbed in the
back by someone who you thought you knew, who you thought was your
friend. So watch out who you are talking to. Never trust someone too much.
Some people if offered money or drugs, no matter how close to you, will betray.

Connections, Power, and Skill
Make sure you meet as much people as you can in this city and
form a nice relationship with the powerful people. This will lead
you to form connections. Connections are VERY important. You
have to know a lot of people and get them to like you, no matter
how much of a hypocrite you must be to achieve this, do it. It is
vital to your survival. If you are in trouble with some people or
whatever, connections will save you. Connections also get you
the power on the streets to manipulate your enemies and make them
pay. How do you think cops are so damn powerful, connections.
Skill is also very important in this, visit the shooting range once
in a while. Visit the gym, learn new fighting moves, this helps
a great deal. It can get you out of very troubling situations.
