Departments in the Los Santos Police Department are different parts of the police force. Each one investigates different kinds of crimes that plague the city of Los Santos and have different brief rooms across the Police Department.
Ranks and Explanations
Head Of The Departments
The Head Of The Departments or known as Chief Inspector is the head of the Detective Departments and is making sure about everything going well in the Departments. The Chief Inspector also watches the Officers who are interested in joining a Detective Department.
Department Captain
A Department Captain is the leader of a Detective Department. He briefs his Detectives each time when a crime is taking place and it's location and additional information. The Department Captain can participate in ongoing crimes if he wishes to. A regular Captain in the Police Department can request permission from the Chief Inspector to lead a Detective Department.
Senior Detective
The Senior Detectives are highly respected members of a Detective Department. They know the ways of investigating crime scenes, interrogating suspects, solving harder cases and such. A Senior Detective is partnered with a Detective who has just joined in a Department and will also help them out if they're in need of assistance.
Detective
The Detectives are the newcomers in a Department. Each Detective is partnered with a Senior Detective, who have more experience in the Department. The Detectives always listen to the Department Captain, in order to learn the ways of solving cases and bigger crimes.
The Detective Departments
Traffic Department
The Traffic Desk is a Department of the Los Santos Police Department. Traffic is concerned with hit-and-runs, stolen vehicles, felony driving, illegal street racing, and collision reports involving serious injuries or fatalities where a crime may have been involved.
Bunco Department
Bunco, also known as the Fraud Division of the Los Santos Police Department is responsible for investigating fraud and other white-collar crimes such as forgery.
Burglary Department
The Burglary Department of the Los Santos Police Department investigates robberies involving private homes, home invasions, thefts, store robberies, bank robberies, break-in's.
Homicide Department
The Homicide Desk is a Department of the Los Santos Police Department. Homicide is concerned with the investigation of murders, suicides and deaths links with foul play within the city of Los Santos.
Arson Department
The Arson Desk is the second highest Department of the Los Santos Police Department. Arson is concerned with crimes of maliciously, voluntarily, and willfully setting fire to buildings, forest areas, other property of another, or of burning one's own property for an improper purpose, such as to collect insurance. The Arson Desk also works side-by-side with the Los Santos Fire Department.
Administrative Vice Department
The Administrative Vice, also known as Vice, Ad Vice, or Vice Narcotics Desk is the most highest Department of the Los Santos Police Department. It deals with offenses involving prostitution, narcotics, lewdness, lasciviousness, and obscenity. Los Santos Police Department Vice detectives plunge themselves down into the "seedy underbelly of L.S.", overturning the most decrepit of stones to expose the city's dregs, druggies, pimps, pushers, prostitutes, bootleggers, bookies, mob lords, thugs and gangsters.
