Criminal attempts suicide, gets saved Wanted suspect hesitated to jump from Star Tower, arrested afterwards | In a busy Downtown day, the Star Tower building and it's surroundings had to be closed after a suspect that the police were searching, Mario Hernandez threatened to suicide by jumping off. The man from Hispanic origin had an active warrant for various crimes, which include car theft, assault on a police officer and evading arrest. Two police officers's unit stopped to do a usual foot patrol route, when they spotted a suspicious man in the area. Approaching him casually, Hernandez made a run for it, entering the nearby Star Tower. He then reached the roof while several other units arrived. person in order to provide his safety. After a period of discussions, the officers managed to save the man and detained him at the police station. Soon it was discovered that Hernandez had an active arrest warrant on himself for trouble with the police. In the following trial, the defendant side pleaded 'not guilty'. Evidence, witnesses and speeches were made from both side. The Judge ruled Hernandez to be mentally unstable and sentenced him to time in a mental institution in order to get help from specialist for his problems
