Christopher Nuñez - Story Image11
Above is a photograph of Christopher Nuñez(Age:18) taken from an LSPD visitor's ID card.

Christopher Nuñez was born September fourteenth, nineteen-ninety three in San Fierro, San Andreas. His father's name was Nicholas Moore and his mother's name was Katie Moore.

Chris did not live the average childhood seeing as his father was a member of one of the largest street gangs in San Andreas at that time, the Grove Street Families. Known as Beanie, Nicholas was a full-time felon. Along with his brother Brian Moore, street named 'Nyne', who was a member of the Seville Boulevard Families, another sub-set of the Orange Grove Families which consisted of the Grove Street, Temple Drive, and Seville Boulevard Families, were both well respected men in their own crews. Chris' childhood was quite opposite from the 'norm'; filled with stories of murder and drug dealing along with several other illegal activities.

Chris grew up in a world filed with hate for what was different. This meant several different things such as police, rival gangs, and even people that lived merely blocks away were deemed as enemies. Chris quickly found out and understood what hate was when he was seven years old and a balla gang drove down a street, that was normally filled with children playing ball, tag and other adolescent games, and riddled it with bullets. This event was one of many from his childhood that exposed him to a world filled with greed, hatred, and complete disregard.

Events similar to this occurred throughout his juvenile days, each times increasingly more violent. Though Chris was never the target he was always cautious of everything; this meant what he wore, how he acted, what he said, and who he was seen around. One event that stood out from the rest was a time that Chris was finally targeted. He was deemed different for his ethnicity. In that Chris was different as was his father and his uncle. They had the African-American which was the most common race in the neighborhood but he was also half Puerto Rican. This was not as much a problem for his father and uncle because they had a darker complexion, Chris however had an extremely fair completion. Anyhow, one day while walking home from school Chris was jumped by two of the local kids. No-one came to his aid; yet several watches in amusement. This bullying continued well into his teenage years.

The teenage years can be a difficult time period for several reasons for many young boys. For Chris it was nearly twice as hard. He dealt with bullying, harassment, and living in constant fear of someone ending his life. This was most difficult for Chris, the idea of death, in that he didn't understand why someone would do it. He just knew that it happened, often; and when someone was killed they never came back.

When Chris was thirteen years old he was forced to deal with the reality of death; and the true pain that came with it when his uncle was murdered. The worst part for him was knowing that not only was his murderer a member of the same gang, but that his murderer was his own cousin 'Loco'. Not only this but his uncles name was disrespected constantly; he was labeled as a rat, a traitor, and scum. Chris had a particularly rough time with this because his father had been arrested for murder as well. Chris looked up to his uncle throughout his childhood due to the fact that his father was constantly in and out of prison. For this reason the bullying increased; now not only was he the 'Mexican', but he was also the 'druggie' and the 'rat'.

Due to the constant bullying that he dealt with Chris and his mother moved to Vice City, which at this time had its own gang problem. Fortunately enough the culture of most gangs was very diverse including blacks, haitians, and most hispanics. Chris was quickly over taken by this life of crime, one that he wanted to avoid back in his home state of San Andreas. Chris became a member of a local street gang known as the Vice City Goons which sold large amounts of drugs at the street level to make a profit.

Things in Vice City were going extremely easy for Chris when he recited a phone call in late may from his father. This was no ordinary call; his father told him that he was denied parole for the last time and would be forced to serve his complete life sentence. His only request was that Chris go back to Los Santos and make the man that killed his uncle pay dearly for it. Chris soon after packed his bags, he was headed for Los Santos.

When Chris had arrived in Los Santos things were very different from how he'd left them. New gangs ran the city, old street legends were dead and gone, and the Orange Grove Families and fallen and split their separate ways; it was a battle between the remaining gangs for control of the city. As his father had ordered him to do, Chris went to the old neighborhood that his uncle ran with, Seville Boulevard Families. On his first day back in Seville Chris spoke to man that lead the gang since his uncle was a member, Lil Dan. After questioning Dan as to the location of Loco, Chris was informed that Loco had been murdered. But, his brother was still alive and running a gang that rivaled the newly reformed Seville Boulevard Grims Families known as the Lanza Project Families.

Dan then let Chris know that his son, who went to school with Chris throughout his childhood would be running the gang. Deshawn Browns, known on the streets as Prince for being the son of legendary Danny Browns was in charge of the gang and Chris pledged his allegiance. He knew that he'd need protection if he was going to kill Loco's brother Domino, an he knew that the Grims would provide that for him.
