STATUS: RETIRED COMMENT: It's probably the character that I roleplayed over the longest period of time and everyone knows me by this nickname, so it's really easy to get attached to it. Quick thanks to everyone I roleplayed with, especially SBF. My character's looks are inspired from "Stringer" Bell from the Wire. STORY:
Spoiler:
As he was growing up, Marcus was one of the many homeless orphans living across the ghettos of the US. His mother died giving birth to him, a few weeks after she had arrived all on her own from Trinidad and Tobago. Marcus had to fend for himself in the streets of south central LS, but he counted with the support of a local, young man back then, Emmet. Some other local residents and homeless people at the Willard community center took care of him, and that's where he got his name from.
Skip a few years ahead and you see this reckless teenager, "putting work in for the hood", falling into peer pressure each passing day in the streets of Playa del Seville, to where he relocated after the community center was shut down. 'Slick' as he was called now, for his street-smart witts, caught the attention of the top guns from the neighbourhood, who got him affiliated with the gang for life as time went by. Lil Dan, one of the OGs, saw bits of himself in this kid, who liked to think. Just that, thinking, something that isn't often seen in poverty stricken neighbourhoods. Both had an interest in management of assets and shared a like in ancient japaese culture. Slick was made a business partner in Dan's Green Masta Records studio in Playa del Seville, where all the homies used to hang out.
As the time went along, other figures in the hood started taking an interest in Slick, and he was now close to other OGs such as Peanutt, Blaze and Keelo. Jayke, Barry, Mike, Wayne among many others, were the new breath of air in the hood. Their growing influence and respect, coupled with imprisonments of OGs, allowed Slick to take the Kingpin position, and from there on, he made all of his close childhood friends, higher ranked individuals too. His position was put to its biggest test during the riots of October in the 90s, caused by a war for drug turf against the Hepburn crew at the time. Luckily for Marcus, he saw how important was that the community was happy with the gang, since they helped the Seville gang during the riots, remembering the times when Seville was created by OG Woodie, for a single purpose: To defend the community from threats.
In the new millenium, Slick ventured into his own business after leaving (defunct twice, but brought back again) Green Masta Records company, this time as the co-owner of a night club named TG Stages, located in the docks. Slick knew that the workers from the area liked these kinds of establishments, so he made a good move there and earned alot of money, not just for him but for the gang itself. All these situations that occured with Slick and his associates, allowed the neighbourhood and it's community to slowly prosper over the years, like fixing the basketball courts and renovating the projects.
He is now seen as a loved and respected figure around Willowfield and Playa del Seville. Everyone in the gang feels like he has done enough work to be considered retired, so he took his time to fly back to Trinidad and Tobago and meet up with his mother's side family. He spends most of his time there, enjoying life and spending his money. Once in a while he still goes back to the City of Saints though, the place that saw him grow.

STATUS: DEAD COMMENT: Tremendously fun character to roleplay as, since it's a trend these days to roleplay a young hispanic that barely knows any spanish and doesn't give a fuck. Major shoutout to Micklo for the ideas and Rocce and madaleno, really cool characters that fitted well in the system. The best part was roleplaying all the "normal" life of a teenager, we used to roleplay school and part-time jobs, getting in trouble for smoking weed and all that. I think the faction itself left a big mark on the server and it should be up to voting as the best 2013 faction along with DP. STORY:
Spoiler:
Derrick Villanueva was born in the El Corona Village projects in 1996 and lived all of his life there with his mother.
He was an average student until his pre-teen years, when he started to develop a love for the game of basketball. He made the high school team in his second tryout. Derrick had handles, but his height and attitude were lacking...
One afternoon, as he watching the Lakers game at his workplace with a bunch of kids from the neighbourhood, he was called out for supporting his team by a rival team’s fan, of the same age.
Two of his friends followed him outside, and together they gave a beating to the smack talking kid, but without him making a deep cut on Derrick’s face. The police was called because of the ruckus and he was taken to the police station for statements.
Her mother cringed at the sight of his face, but Derrick didn't care, he was glad he showed up for the beating and got respect from his friends. He began hanging out with those kids more and more, until he was approached by Manuel, a respected teenager from “the barrio”. He helped him earn a name for himself around and as time went by, Derrick started skipping school and work to organize the kids from the barrio in the way Manuel wanted, looking out for any interesting events. As a result of that, he was fired but he still attended basketball pratice, and was getting better at it because he had more time to pratice.
Months passed and Derrick had now completed his high school and was out of a job. Manuel, Marcelo and Jumpy were always cussing him out for not representing his gang in the previous months, because his mother talked to him, making him study hard and not hanging out with these kids.
Willing to make a name for himself though, he started recording videos of himself and with the other teenagers, calling out enemies, smoking dope and waving his firearms around, generating a buzz online and in the real world.
One time, there’s reports he got involved in a shooting with Marcelo versus a Norteno set in Idlewood, no casualties reported, the authorities concluded.
Golden Palms 13, the gang he was representing was starting to make a name for itself and they were now running with more than a dozen of members, all under command of Manuel, terrorizing nearby neighbourhoods.
With each crime he commited, his sentence was drawing near, his search for power and reputation would be the demise of this young man:
Derrick was gunned down at the age of seventeen by local enforcement after escaping a 24/7 he tried to rob, holding a hostage at gunpoint. After a wild car pursuit he ended up losing control of the car in a nearby parking lot. He managed to step out of the vehicle, firing his last shots towards the agents. El Corona and the school held a vigil for him the following night.

STATUS: RETIRED COMMENT: Just a little experiment I had a few months back, I wanted to try something different and it was cool that at the time, a triad faction almost formed itself. STORY:
Spoiler:
Russell was born in Hong Kong in the 80s. He lived there until he was 10 years old and he was always a very smart and avid kid, knowing how to speak cantonese, english and japanese to an extent. He, his parents and his grandparent went to live to Liberty City to help out another family member.
In LC, Russell kept studying but he was often harassed by local asian hoodlums. One day, the LCPD went to his school to educate the students and parents about the criminal world of LC and that's when Russell got interested in joining the law enforcement. When he was finally old enough, he graduated academy with brilliance and was working at the forensics lab.
The crime rate in Chinatown was increasingly going up, so the LCPD's commander needed a couple of his best and most versatile agents to work a case against the local triads. Russell stepped down from his lab position, and because of his language and acute intelligence, he started working undercover. A few months in, and, unexplicably, Russell and his partner's identity were revealed to the triad's high ranking members. They were to meet the local Red Pole at a warehouse in the docks, but Russell was running late. As soon as the triads allowed Russ to enter the building, his partner managed to tip him off, saying it was a setup.
Scared, he ran right out and got into his fish van, which was immediately intercepted and knocked out of the road. The vehicle was in flames and Russell was presumed dead by the triads. After a month in the hospital recovering from the accident, he was again, tipped off, this time presumably by a LCPD high rank, to the triads who nearly finished the job if it wasn't for Huang's operation leader.
He put him and his family in protective custody and sent them across the state, to San Andreas, where he was transfered to the Los Santos Police Department, earning many honors during his time of duty, under Chief Jimmy Jackson.
After things cooled down in LC, he returned home and played the role of star witness against the triads, putting them all in prison and so, honoring his partner's life. He now lives quietly in Liberty City, raising his daughter.

STATUS: RETIRED COMMENT: Just a motorcycle dude who used to roleplay around the clubhouse, fixing some vehicles. I don't think I ever killed anyone with this character lol. I've got the chance to roleplay with Dirty (Rick) atleast, Dan also had a cool character and he brought the Slayers back from the dead for a good chunk of time, it was very nice. I haven't really made a story or have screenshots from this character.
OTHER CHARACTERS: [PD]Miles - My first character in the server. Shoutout to Midge. [DP]Slick - Duke Harmon - Character I had in Dec. 2013 in [DP], it was under DaParasite's leadership. [AM]Slick - Felix Rudometkin - With this character I attempted my first gang leadership application, which was sucessful. It was relevant because I learned how hard it is to create and lead a faction from nothing.

Updated the thread: Added a screenshot spoiler for the characters I have screenshots from, and added Derrick's story. (It was easier to make because he's already ck'd.)

I remember this me, Channing Tatum(Slick), and Madaleno put a beat down on this guy for something that pissed us off in-character. It looks like I'm holding him while kneeing him in the back while Madaleno thrusts his pelvic back and lands some few hay makers to his face. It was a good time back then to be a part of Golden Palms which is now frosties.
