Operation: Temple Touch
^{LSPD launch an ongoing operation in Temple}

About
Operation Temple Touch was started by the LSPD in order to prevent deeper feud escalating between local gangs and the police after various crimes and death threats. This is a joint-op with the involvement of divisions such as CID, CRASH and SWAT foremost. The main goals are two - to successfully infiltrate through the gang hierarchy by investigation and force, in order to locate and arrest the main initiator behind the recent acts ; and cool down the pressure in Temple. While undergoing, a case file will be opened and worked on for any street gang.

Officers
The area of Temple will be a priority and acting in it will be delicate and always under strict control. As of now, you have the permission to do regular knock-and-talks, civilian stops and searches based on suspicion and warrant issued house searches. Everything happening is to be reported immediately to higher ranks working on the operation. Any investigation based information is to be forwarded to the CID, who will be responsible for that part of the work. CRASH will handle the lower level connections and be the ear on the street. SWAT will move in to perform any raids or search and arrest warrants, being available to be called as back-up at all times in critical conditions.

Civilians
All civilians on the territory of Temple are advised to cooperate with the police and report any crimes or suspicious behavior on our 911 line. Assisting the police with valuable knowledge and helping them without directly interfering will be rewarded accordingly. During on-going police procedures, please be advised to stay away or keep distance and comply to any orders from officers for your own safety.

Motel gang meeting ruined by SWAT

A Willowfield located motel briefly turned into a war zone in today's LSPD SWAT raid, leaving six dead and three arrested. After an emergency call, several SWAT officers responded to the location of what was supposed to be a gang meeting. On scene, the area and nearby roads were immediately cut out for civilian safety as the officers approached the building. Inside of it, numerous gang affiliated members, most of which armed, engaged in an open shoot out with the law personnel. Suspects were arrested or taken down as SWAT moved through the building in a safe and secure pace. The injured suspects were then transported to the County General Hospital in Jefferson for emergency injury treatment. Upon the building frisk, weapons such as pistols, sub-machine guns and even assault rifles such as the AK-47 were found in different places.

During the incident, the units reached a barricaded room, from where gunshots were opened. Using explosives from a demolition expert to breach the then closed door, officers moved in and took down the gunner, who then turned out to be a wanted suspect for homicide with an active warrant for it. He was considered armed and dangerous, evading the police before hand, as his unfortunate death turned out to be a relief, taking one more person down off the already somewhat crowded wanted suspects list.

The crime scene units discovered a victim's dead body, whom was murdered not-of-and-before the arrival of the police. Further investigations and interrogations will be made to discover the reason of the death and if the meeting was centered around it and turned out to be a ritual gang killing.

Hostage kidnapping takes place in restaurant

The LSPD had to face a heated situation today, as four heavily armed criminals took an Italian man hostage in a Verona Beach restaurant. The person who's life was at stake was later identified as Salvatore Leone. Other than that, the building was empty and no other civilians were endangered. SWAT then arrived on scene, led by Commander Joseph Malone, taking control of the situation. The street, area and building were all sealed off tightly, making sure no getaway points were available.

The on-scene negotiator got into contact with the offenders, who were represented by Tarnell "Keelo" Williams, the well-known notorious leader of the Seville Boulevard Families gang. Demands were made, as the police proceeded to work on various tactics to provide the rescue of the hostage with nothing other than a positive outcome. Time passed, until both sides agreed that an officer was to be send in the building unarmed. The risky gamble provided to be successful as the police gathered more information and were fully aware of the condition of the hostage.

Forced by time and the conditions at hand, the police had to provide a helicopter on the roof of the building, along with a classified amount of money in a briefcase. The four suspects then released the hostage into the hands of the negotiator and took off with it, hoping to escape from the situation. Unfortunately for them, the air vehicle provided was purposely low on fuel. Followed on take off, units both on air and land were after the helicopter. Because of the low fuel, the criminal group was forced to perform an emergency landing on the outskirts of the city, as measured and planned by the police. The landing happened just north of the East Beach freeway. The units then moved and performed the arrests, as the criminals couldn't respond back. Three were arrested and one died in the process of getting away. The hostage was taken into a hospital and his condition was stable, having an injury on the hand area. The money in the briefcase were also recovered and returned to the police resources vault.

The main perpetrator of the situation, Tarnell "Keelo" Williams faced a speed-trial in the main city courts. After the testimonies and evidence were delivered, Judge Martin Kikiwi ruled Williams to be guilty and sent into a mental institution center. The decision was based off the fact that Williams has a mental condition for which he takes medication. The other two accomplices were faced in court also and received smaller penalties for their involvement, being transferred to jail after.

Criminal attempts suicide, gets saved

In a busy Downtown day, the Star Tower building and it's surroundings had to be closed after a suspect that the police were searching, Mario Hernandez threatened to suicide by jumping off. The man from Hispanic origin had an active warrant for various crimes, which include car theft, assault on a police officer and evading arrest. Two police officers's unit stopped to do a usual foot patrol route, when they spotted a suspicious man in the area. Approaching him casually, Hernandez made a run for it, entering the nearby Star Tower. He then reached the roof while several other units arrived. When he reached the edge of the building, officers approached the situation calmly, beginning to negotiate with the

person in order to provide his safety. After a period of discussions, the officers managed to save the man and detained him at the police station. Soon it was discovered that Hernandez had an active arrest warrant on himself for trouble with the police.

In the following trial, the defendant side pleaded 'not guilty'. Evidence, witnesses and speeches were made from both side. The Judge ruled Hernandez to be mentally unstable and sentenced him to time in a mental institution in order to get help from specialist for his problems
