Facebook to die on the 5 of november?

If you are unaware, ANON is a group of 'elite' hackers responsible for taking down some pretty big websites/organisations(Yes,There were the same group who took down Sony.), and back in August they vowed to take down Facebook on the 5th of November this year.

So, that's this Saturday, will be interesting to see if they succeed.



I only bring this up because it was just on the news here and they were suggesting everyone deactivate their accounts for the weeekend. Very Happy

Very doubtful, the owner is a pretty professional hacker himself and it was said that only a few members of Anonymous will participate in the event.

Some said that Facebook is gathering private information from people who got accounts on Facebook.

Could be interesting if they succed.
It gona be some big controversy if they do and it gona be funny to watch that with popcorn.

I have facebook but i don't realy care about it.
The only reason i got it is 'cause almost everyone have one.

There are multiple videos of the owner of Facebook saying that he will shut down Facebook, not just because of attack of Anonymous.

"Mark Zuckerberg said in press conference: “Facebook has gotten out of control and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness. Starting March 15th, users will no longer be able to access their Facebook accounts.”

Zuckerberg said that the decision to shut down Facebook was difficult, but that he does not think people will be upset.

In a private phone interview, Zuckerberg said: “I personally don’t think it’s a big deal. And to be honest, I think it’s for the better. Without Facebook, people will have to go outside and make real friends. That’s always a good thing.”

Those in the financial circuit are criticizing Zuckerberg for walking away from a multibillion dollar franchise. Facebook is currently ranked as one of the wealthiest businesses in the world, with economists estimating its value at around 7.9 billion.

But Zuckerberg remains unruffled by these accusations. He says he will stand by his decision to give Facebook the axe. “I don’t care about the money. I just want my old life back.

The Facebook Corporation suggests that users remove all of their personal information from the website before March 15th. After that date, all photos, notes, links, and videos will be permanently erased.

Vice President of Technical Affairs at Facebook, Avrat Humarthi said: “After March 15th the whole website shuts down. So if you ever want to see your pictures again, I recommend you take them off the internet. You won’t be able to get them back once Facebook goes out of business”.

UPDATE: After Facebook shutting down rumor spread like a fire on all over the internet. Mark Zukerberg and Facebook Officials denied by saying that there isn’t any truth in Rumor. So its been official now Facebook is not shutting down on March 15th. I am sorry guys we need to wait more for the big day "
